Which Hotel Should You Pick?
3-Star Umrah Packages from $930
Our 3-star packages start at $930. The hotels are about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Masjid al-Haram. This is the choice most repeat pilgrims make. It is also the easiest on your budget. The truth is, you will spend most of your time in the Haram, not in your room. A clean bed, a good breakfast, and a short walk are all you really need. We check every 3-star hotel ourselves for cleanliness, safety, and location.
4-Star Umrah Packages from $980
Our 4-star packages start at $980. The hotels are about an 8 to 10 minute walk from the Haram and serve a buffet. This is our most popular choice for families and first-time pilgrims. After a long flight, a bigger room makes a real difference. And with a buffet, you do not have to go looking for food between prayers. You get more comfort without paying top dollar.
5-Star Umrah Packages from $1,130
Our 5-star packages start at $1,130. The hotels are only a 4 to 6-minute walk from Masjid al-Haram. A shorter walk matters most for older pilgrims. It saves their energy for worship. You also get full hotel facilities and a choice of restaurants. If a trip is hard on the body, this makes it much easier.
Kaaba View and Clock Tower Packages from $1,415
Our Kaaba view packages start at $1,415. Your room is inside the Clock Tower, right above the Haram. You can see the Holy Kaaba from your window, and you are only steps from the door. Many people book this once in their life, often for their parents. It is our top option, and most who choose it say it was worth every dollar.
What Is Umrah?
Umrah is a visit to Makkah that you can make at any time of year. It has four steps: putting on Ihram (the sacred state), Tawaf (walking around the Kaaba seven times), Sa'i (walking seven times between Safa and Marwa), and then cutting your hair. The four steps take about 3 to 5 hours.
Umrah is different from Hajj. Hajj is a duty for those who are able, and you can only do it on set days. Umrah has no fixed date, so you can go whenever you like. For most American Muslims, the full trip takes 9 to 13 days and starts at $930 per person.
What Is Included in the Umrah Package?
Your all-inclusive package covers your flights, your Umrah visa, your hotels in Makkah and Medina, all your transport, guided Ziyarat, and a rep in Saudi Arabia. Breakfast is included at most hotels. Lunch, dinner, shopping money, and travel insurance are not.
- Round-trip flights from your home airport (JFK, ORD, IAH, DFW, LAX, EWR, or DTW). The ticket is in your name from the start.
- Umrah visa. We fill in the form, check it, and submit it for you. More than 99 in 100 are approved.
- Hotels in both cities. We name your exact hotel before you pay. You will never get a vague "hotel or similar."
- Private transport from Jeddah Airport to your hotel, and between the two cities. No crowded shared buses.
- Guided Ziyarat to Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatayn, the Cave of Hira, Jabal Thawr, Uhud, and the Baqi cemetery.
- An on-ground rep who meets you at Jeddah Airport and stays in touch the whole time.
How Much Does Umrah from the USA Cost?
An all-inclusive Umrah package from the USA starts at $930 per person. The flight is the highest cost. On its own, a round-trip ticket to Saudi Arabia runs $900 to $1,400. We keep our price low because we buy airline seats in bulk and deal with hotels directly.
On top of your package, set aside about $200 to $400 per person. That covers lunch and dinner, shopping, a Saudi SIM card, travel insurance, and tips for your guide and driver. If you see Umrah for under $700 somewhere, read the small print. Most of the time, the flight is not included, or the hotel is far from the Haram.
When Is the Best Time to Go for Umrah?
The best time for low prices and easy weather is November to early January. You get smaller crowds, cheaper flights, and pleasant weather around 70 to 78°F. Ramadan brings the most reward, but it is also the busiest and most costly time. Try to avoid summer, when Makkah gets very hot, over 105°F.
- First time, any age: Go in November or early January.
- Most reward: Go in Ramadan, but book 6 to 8 months early.
- Families with kids: Go during winter or spring school break. Book 3 to 4 months early.
- Older pilgrims: Go in November or December, when it is cooler and easier.
Ramadan Umrah 2027 from the USA
Ramadan 2027 falls around February to March 2027. Packages cost about 25 to 40 per cent more than usual, roughly $1,250 to $1,500 per person. The last 10 nights sell out first. To get a good hotel at a fair price, book 8 to 10 months ahead.
Makkah in Ramadan is special. The Tarawih prayers and the last 10 nights are something pilgrims talk about for years. Just be ready for the biggest crowds of the year. Tawaf slots on the Nusuk app can fill up within hours.
Umrah Visa: What US Pilgrims Need
You need four things for an Umrah visa: a valid US passport with at least 6 months left, an ACWY vaccine certificate, two white-background passport photos, and a filled-in application form. We take care of the form and the submission for you.
- Passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months after you come home. If it runs out within 8 months, renew it first.
- ACWY vaccine. This shot is required. Get it at least 2 weeks before you travel, and keep the paper proof.
- Two photos. Standard size, plain white background. Most pharmacies do these the same day.
- Application form. We check it before we send it, so small mistakes do not slow you down.
If you have a Green Card, apply with your home-country passport, not your Green Card. If you are on another type of US visa, just call us, and we will tell you what you need.
Can Women Go for Umrah Without a Mahram?
Yes. Since 2021, Saudi Arabia no longer asks for a mahram (a male guardian) for Umrah. A woman of any age can now travel on her own, with friends, or in a women's group. If you are travelling alone, we place you with a women's group, arrange a female guide where we can, pick you up from the airport, and set up your room the way you want it.
Umrah for Older and Elderly Pilgrims
Age is not a problem. We have helped pilgrims in their 70s and 80s complete their Umrah. For older travellers, we suggest a 5-star or Kaaba-view hotel, since they are just a few minutes from the Haram. We book wheelchair help ahead of time, can arrange a more comfortable seat on the plane, and suggest the cooler months of November to January to make the trip easier.
Family and Group Bookings
Children of any age can go for Umrah. There is no age limit. Groups of 5 or more get a lower price per person. We can book connecting rooms for families and arrange wheelchair help for older members. Groups also get faster visa handling, because we send all the forms together. If you are putting together a group from your masjid, call us before anyone books on their own.
Umrah Flights by US Departure City
We fly pilgrims from every major US airport, and we can arrange almost any other city you ask for. Each route is priced from your local airport with current dates and seats.
- New York (JFK or EWR). The most flights and the best date choices.
- Chicago (ORD).
- Houston (IAH). A large Muslim community and many group trips each year.
- Dallas (DFW). Close to our office in Plano.
- Detroit (DTW). Home to one of the biggest Arab Muslim communities in the country.
- Los Angeles (LAX). A West Coast trip adds 2 to 3 hours, so we build in extra rest.
- Washington DC (IAD or DCA).
Umrah and Hajj: What Is the Difference?
Umrah is a Sunnah you can do any time. Hajj is a duty you do once in your life, if you are able, and only on set days. Umrah takes 3 to 5 hours and trips start at $930. Hajj takes 5 to 6 days of rites and costs $6,500 or more from the USA.

Why Book Umrah with Qiblatain USA?
Qiblatain is a US travel agency based in Plano, TX. We have booked Umrah and Hajj for American Muslims since 2010, and we hold all three key approvals: ARC, IATA, and Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Few US agencies hold all three.
Our team has done Umrah ourselves. We know what it feels like to land in Jeddah at 2 a.m. after a 14-hour flight. We know which hotels are truly close to the Haram and which only say they are. ARC keeps your money safe. IATA lets us book flights directly at lower rates. Our Saudi approval means your visa goes through the proper channels. When you call us, you reach a real person who knows your trip, not a script.
