How much does Umrah cost in December?
A December Umrah package from the USA with Qiblatain costs $1,115 to $1,735 per person in 2026. The lowest price is for 5 nights in 3-star hotels, and the highest is for 7 nights in 5-star hotels close to the Haram. Trips that leave between December 18 and January 1 cost more, because flights and hotels fill up for winter break.
How much does a 7-day Umrah package cost?
Our 7-night December packages cost $1,155 to $1,735 per person. The 3-star package starts at $1,155, the 4-star at $1,255, and the 5-star at $1,635.
Is December a good time for Umrah?
Yes. Summer days in Makkah pass 105°F, but December days stay in the 70s and 80s. Tawaf and Sa’i are a lot easier in that weather, especially for older parents and small kids.
The last two weeks of December are busy. Schools are closed in the USA and in many other countries, so a lot of families travel then. Expect a fuller Haram and higher prices than in early December, though the crowds are far smaller than in Ramadan.

Madinah gets cold after dark, so pack a jacket or a warm shawl for Fajr and Isha. Makkah stays warm enough for light clothes all day. Rain is rare in both cities, but a short shower can happen.
Best dates in December to travel
December 1 to 17. Prices are lower and it is easier to get a room near the Haram. Pick these dates if you don’t have kids in school.
December 18 to January 1. Most U.S. schools are closed for winter break, so kids don’t miss class. Book 8 to 10 weeks ahead for these dates, because hotels near the Haram sell out first.
December Umrah packages from USA by city
We book December Umrah trips from Chicago, Houston, New York, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. If you live somewhere else, we will route you through the closest major airport. Most flights land in Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED). We book both nonstop and one-stop flights. Nonstop flights to Jeddah take about 12 hours. One-stop flights through Istanbul, Doha, or Dubai take longer but often cost less.

Can Umrah be done in December?
Yes. Umrah is open all through December. Hajj is months away, so there are no Hajj-season limits on Umrah visas.
How early should I book a December Umrah package?
Book 6 to 8 weeks before you fly for early December. For December 18 to January 1, book 8 to 10 weeks ahead.
What documents do U.S. travelers need?
You need a passport that is valid for at least six months from your travel date, one passport-size photo, and an Umrah visa. We apply for the visa for you. If you hold a green card or a non-U.S. passport, tell us when you call, because visa steps can differ by nationality.
Can I change the hotel or the number of nights?
You can add nights, move to a hotel closer to the Haram, or change how many nights you spend in each city. We will send you a new price.
How much does a 15-day Umrah package cost?
We don’t list a 14 or 15-night December package on this page, but we can build one. Call us and we will price the extra nights at the same hotels.
Can I cancel or change my dates?
A $100 deposit holds your booking. If you cancel or change your dates, your refund depends on what you change and on the airline and hotel rules for your booking. Ask us for the exact terms before you pay.
Is December Umrah good for kids and elderly parents?
Yes. You are not walking in summer heat, which matters most for kids and older parents. If someone in your group uses a wheelchair or can’t walk far, tell us, and we will book a hotel a short walk from the Haram.
