Shifting Hajj Packages from the USA (2027)

A shifting Hajj package is the most affordable way to perform a full and valid Hajj from the United States. Our shifting Hajj packages start at about $9,000 per person and include round-trip flights, your Hajj visa, hotels in Makkah and Medina, an Aziziya apartment during the Hajj days, Mina and Arafat services, transport, meals, and an experienced group leader. Hajj 2027 falls around May 14 to 19, 2027, and spots are limited by quota, so we recommend booking 6 to 12 months early.

What Is a Shifting Hajj Package?

A shifting Hajj package is a budget Hajj package where you check out of your Makkah hotel during the five main days of Hajj (the 8th to the 13th of Dhul Hijjah). Instead of paying for an empty hotel room near the Haram during the most expensive week of the year, you stay in your Mina tent and use a simple apartment in the Aziziya district to rest, shower, and store your luggage. That one change is what cuts thousands of dollars off the price.

Here is the key point: a shifting package is still a complete, valid Hajj. You perform Tawaf, Sa'i, the day at Arafat, the night at Muzdalifah, the stoning at Jamarat, and every other rite, exactly like every other pilgrim. The only difference is comfort. You move between places instead of keeping one hotel room, and your Mina camp is usually farther from the Jamarat, which means more walking.

How Much Does a Shifting Hajj Package Cost from the USA?

Shifting Hajj packages from the USA start at about $9,000 per person. Among all Hajj packages from USA, shifting is the cheapest option. Non-shifting packages usually cost $9,400 to $12,000 or more, so a shifting package can save you upto $3,000 per person. Prices change every year based on the Saudi quota, hotel rates, and flight costs, so call us at 332-334-0324 for this year's exact price.

Two things affect your final price the most:

When you book. Prices rise as the Hajj gets closer and the US quota fills up. Booking 6 to 12 months early almost always gets you a better price and a better spot.

Your departure city. We arrange flights from airports across the US, including New York, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Washington. Flight costs vary a little by city.

What Is Included in a Shifting Hajj Package?

Everything you need to complete your Hajj is included. The savings come from the accommodation setup, not from cutting services. Your package includes:

  • Round-trip flights from your nearest major US airport, booked in your name
  • Hajj visa, processed through the official Saudi Nusuk system
  • Hotels in Makkah and Medina before and after the Hajj days
  • Aziziya apartment during the Hajj days, for rest, showers, and luggage storage
  • Mina tent and Arafat services, including your space, bedding, and food
  • All ground transport between Jeddah, Makkah, Medina, and the holy sites
  • Sacrifice
  • Meals during the five Hajj days, plus breakfast at most hotels
  • An experienced, English-speaking group leader who guides you through every rite

Shifting vs. Non-Shifting Hajj: Which One Should You Choose?

Choose a shifting package if the lowest price is your top goal and you are healthy enough to walk more. Choose one of our Non-Shifting Hajj Packages if you want to keep your Makkah hotel room during the Hajj days and walk less. Both complete the same Hajj.

Fit pilgrims on a budget

Families, elderly, comfort seekers

If you are young and healthy and your budget is tight, shifting is the smart choice. If you are traveling with older parents or you simply want the easiest trip possible, non-shifting is usually worth the extra cost. Not sure which fits you? Call us at 332-334-0324 and we will walk you through both, with real prices.

How the Shifting Works, Day by Day

Many pilgrims ask us what "shifting" actually looks like during the trip. Here is the simple version:

  1. Before Hajj: You stay in a normal hotel in Makkah (and Medina, depending on your route). You pray at the Haram and settle in.
  2. 7th–8th of Dhul Hijjah: You check out of your Makkah hotel. Your large luggage goes to the Aziziya apartment. You take a small carry-on bag to Mina.
  3. 8th–13th of Dhul Hijjah: You stay in your Mina tent and perform the rites at Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Jamarat. Between rites, you can visit the Aziziya apartment to shower, rest, and reach your luggage.
  4. After the 13th: You return to a hotel for your remaining nights, perform your farewell Tawaf, and fly home.

Our group leader stays with your group through all of it, so you are never figuring anything out alone.

Who Should Choose a Shifting Hajj Package?

A shifting package fits you if most of these sound like you:

  • Budget comes first. You want a full, valid Hajj at the lowest possible price.
  • You are in good health. Longer walks in the heat are not a problem for you.
  • You are flexible. Moving between the tent and the Aziziya apartment does not bother you.
  • It is your first Hajj and money is tight. Many younger pilgrims and first-timers choose shifting so they do not have to wait years to save more.

The Honest Trade-Off

We believe you should know exactly what you are buying. The trade-off with a shifting package is simple: more walking and more moving, in exchange for a much lower price.

During the Hajj days, your Mina camp is usually farther from the Jamarat, and you will not have a hotel room to return to in Makkah. In the May heat, those longer walks are real work. For older pilgrims or anyone with health issues, we honestly recommend a non-shifting package instead. But if you are fit and your budget matters most, a shifting package gives you the complete Hajj for thousands less, with our group leader beside you the whole way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a shifting Hajj package?

A shifting Hajj package is a budget Hajj package where you check out of your Makkah hotel during the five main Hajj days. You stay in your Mina tent and use an Aziziya apartment for rest and luggage. This cuts the price by thousands of dollars while still completing a full, valid Hajj.

How much does a shifting Hajj package from the USA cost?

Shifting Hajj packages from the USA start at about $9,000 per person, all-inclusive. That covers flights, the Hajj visa, hotels, the Aziziya apartment, Mina and Arafat services, transport, meals during the Hajj days, and a group leader. Prices change yearly, so call 332-334-0324 for the current rate.

Is a shifting Hajj package still a complete Hajj?

Yes. A shifting package is a full, valid Hajj in every way. You perform every rite — Tawaf, Sa'i, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Jamarat — exactly like every other pilgrim. The only difference is where you sleep and how far you walk, not the Hajj itself.

What is the difference between shifting and non-shifting Hajj packages?

In a shifting package, you give up your Makkah hotel room during the Hajj days and use a Mina tent plus an Aziziya apartment, which lowers the price. In a non-shifting package, you keep your hotel room the whole time and your Mina camp is usually closer to the Jamarat, which costs more but is easier.

What is the Aziziya apartment for?

Aziziya is a district of Makkah near Mina. During the Hajj days, your shifting package gives you access to a simple apartment there where you can shower, rest between rites, and store your large luggage while you take only a carry-on to your Mina tent.

Who should choose a shifting Hajj package?

Shifting packages are best for pilgrims who are fit and healthy and want the lowest possible price. They suit younger pilgrims, first-timers on a budget, and anyone who does not mind extra walking. Older pilgrims or those with health issues should consider a non-shifting package instead.

What is the downside of a shifting Hajj package?

The main downside is more walking and more moving. Your Mina camp is usually farther from the Jamarat, and you will not have a Makkah hotel room to return to during the Hajj days. In the May heat, this can be tiring, which is why we only recommend shifting to pilgrims in good health.

How early should I book a shifting Hajj package for 2027?

Book 6 to 12 months before Hajj 2027, which falls around May 14–19, 2027. US Hajj spots are limited by the Saudi quota and sell out, and prices rise as the date gets closer. Early booking gets you a lower price and a better Mina location.

Do shifting Hajj packages include flights from my city?

Yes. We arrange round-trip flights from major airports across the US, including New York, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Washington. Tell us your city when you call, and we will quote the flight in your package price.

Can I pay for my Hajj package in installments?

Call us at 332-334-0324 to discuss payment options. We work with families to make Hajj affordable, and booking early gives you more time to spread out your payments before travel.
